What to expect…

—————————————————

Morning Practice

Each day will begin with a Led Ashtanga Primary Series class, where our lead teacher, Lascel, will guide you through the entire practice, providing modifications and variations to ensure the series is accessible to practitioners of all levels. Virginia will be there to assist, guide, and help you deepen into the poses with hands-on adjustments.

After the asana practice, weather permitting, you’ll enjoy a peaceful 5-minute walk into the Pine Forest of Barbate, allowing you to reconnect with your breath and presence. Virginia will then lead you through a various pranayama practices and mindfulness techniques, offering you valuable tools to take home and cultivate as part of your daily routine.

Adjustments Lab

As part of our Ashtanga Immersion Retreat, we're offering a special hands-on Yoga Adjustments Module. A series of four two-hour workshops designed to deepen your understanding and confidence in offering safe, effective physical adjustments.

Whether you're a yoga teacher looking to refine your skills or a dedicated student curious to explore the art of touch in practice, this module offers a supportive space to learn, play, and connect. For those who have previously taken our adjustments training, this is a valuable opportunity to revisit, revise, and practice adjustments with more time, detail, and personal guidance.

You'll have the chance to work with a variety of bodies, gaining insight into how adjustments can be adapted to suit different needs and experiences. The sessions will also include time for open discussion, so participants can share preferences, ask questions, and offer feedback in a relaxed, non-judgmental setting.

Workshops

As a complement to the dynamic morning practice, our Ashtanga Immersion Retreat also offers a series of five afternoon workshops designed to help you unwind, connect, and explore yoga in a more playful and expansive way. These pre-dinner sessions are a chance to experience a wide range of practices that balance the intensity of the morning with creativity, joy, and reflection.

Over the course of the week, we’ll share in the light-hearted connection of acroyoga, melt into the stillness of yin yoga, be immersed in the healing tones of a sound bath, raise our voices in uplifting kirtan, and build resilience in a strength-based movement workshop. While some sessions offer rest and restoration, others invite you to energize, laugh, and explore new edges within a supportive environment. Together, they’re designed to bring variety and balance to your retreat experience—nurturing both body and spirit.

Most importantly, these shared moments help deepen the sense of community and connection, allowing the group to grow closer with each day.

Teachers

The retreat will be led by Virginia and Lascel, two core teachers at the heart of our school and the lead facilitators of our 200-hour teacher training, particularly its Ashtanga component.

Anyone who has trained with them before will know just how special it is to be guided by both of them again in one immersive setting. With years of combined teaching experience, they bring a dynamic balance to the retreat, each offering their unique strengths and presence.

Lascel will lead the more physical elements of the week, including the morning Ashtanga practice, hands-on adjustments module, and technical afternoon workshops. Virginia will hold space for the more subtle and restorative aspects, guiding pranayama, meditation, and workshops like yin yoga and the sound bath.

Together, they create a retreat experience that is both energising and deeply nourishing, rooted in experience, care, and connection.
